Tongue in Cheek is a new business, established at the end of 2022. At present, we are only providing mobile services, which means we come to you. We can visit you at home or your little one at their education facility if this is required/ preferred.
We provide Speech Pathology services from infancy and specialise in working with children that are 0-2 years. We specialise in infant and paediatric feeding, swallowing disorders, cleft lip and palate, non-cleft velopharyngeal dysfunction and pre-school language. We believe that every child has unique needs and our services are holistic & tailored to meet those needs.
Prior to attending an appointment we will ask for information about your child’s developmental and medical history, so we can prepare for the session appropriately and maximise our time together.
Tongue in Cheek specialises in the assessment and management of infant and paediatric feeding along with swallowing disorders. At Tongue in Cheek, we understand the complex nature of feeding difficulties and work with children & families to develop strategies for management and improvement. We consider a holistic approach to assessment & therapy, addressing not only the physical aspects of feeding but also the emotional & psychological factors that can impact a child’s ability to eat.
Whether a child is struggling with swallowing difficulties, picky eating, food aversions, or other feeding issues, we are dedicated to helping them achieve their full potential.
At Tongue in Cheek, we have a special interest in working with individuals who have a background of cleft lip and / or palate, or other craniofacial conditions.
We acknowledge that this is a specialised area of Speech Pathology and are passionate about ensuring your child receives the appropriate assessment and therapy that they require.
We offer comprehensive language assessments to identify difficulties a child may be experiencing with their communication skills.
We provide evidence-based therapy services that are designed to support children with a range of language, and communication difficulties. Our therapy sessions are tailored to meet the individual needs of each child & their family.
Please contact us if you would like to discuss our services further and find out how we can work with you and your child to achieve your goals.
